Kick off the holiday season in style with saxophonist, composer and band leader Pee Wee Ellis at Ronnie’s on Saturday 1st December as he takes you on a on magical, wonderful jazzy Christmas journey!
For one night only, Pee Wee is joined by two very special guests and fellow Ronnie’s headliners: China Moses is a high voltage soul/jazz diva with a career as a singer as well as presenter for MTV France, TSF Jazz Radio and more. The daughter of Dee Dee Bridgewater and director Gilbert Moses, China’s career has been and is exemplary, working with people like Guru, DJ Mehdi, Karriem Riggins, Meshell Ndegeocello, Anthony Marshall and sound engineer Bob Power.
Acclaimed British vocalist Ian Shaw will also join Pee Wee tonight. Nominated for Male Jazz Vocalist of the Year in the prestigious US Downbeat 82nd Annual Readers’ Poll of 2017, “Best Jazz Vocalist” at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2007 and 2004, and the Jazz FM awards in 2013, Ian Shaw has recorded a number of highly acclaimed internationally released albums and is a popular performer both in the UK and the US. He has been cited, along with Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, as one of the world’s finest male jazz vocalists.
